Movement & Manual Therapy Treatment

As a Movement Therapist and Mobility Guide, Alex provides a service that combines Shiatsu & Sotai Therapy along with guidance and programing for Personal Mobility Training. Shiatsu & Sotai therapy involves hands-on treatment sessions with Alex Schenker, a licensed therapist with over 20 years of devoted training and professional experience.

Sessions also include guidance and creation of a mobility training program that is customized for your specific needs, serving the purpose of supporting the your treatment goals and restoring balance, alignment, and natural range of motion.

Without at least a minimum mobility training routine, any treatment is little more than symptom management, especially when it comes to chronic conditions. Throughout ongoing sessions, your condition is ever-changing and without continuous adjustment of your program, progress is limited.

These sessions involve assessment, treatment, and training in every session, with a concise routine for you to practice on your own. Ideally these sessions are received in-person, but it is also possible to do these sessions online over Zoom by instructing and observing your movement and providing instruction and  coaching for self-treatment.

Testimonials

“As a lifelong martial artist, I can not overstate the value of the Natural Mobility Ukemi Foundations course. That being said, learning how to safely fall and recover without injury is an important skill for everyone of all walks of life. It is inevitable that we all fall at some point, so it's just a matter of time until we will need the skills learned in this course. Whether you've never learned to breakfall or have been using them for years, there is so much to gain from the in depth, and step-by-step lessons taught in this program. It's easy to see that Alex has spent years perfecting this art and delivers the results of his study and experience in a practical and easy to use format with videos and explanations throughout. 10 out of 10, I would definitely recommend this course and will certainly be using it to help teach ukemi in the future.”
